“Wrinkles”, nominated to the Goya and Gaudí Awards.

“Wrinkles” is candidate to the next Gaudí Awards as Best animated feature; and also as Best animated feature, and Best adapted script for the Goya Awards.

“Wrinkles”, the coproduction between Perro Verde Films and Cromosoma, is going in for the Gaudí Awards as Best animated feature in the celebration held in Barcelona on 6th February. The story of the intrepid and interned in a geriatric elderly people, which is based in the homonym comic by Paco Roca, is also presented in the 26th Edition of the Goya Awards for the prizes of Best adapted script and Best animated feature. On 4th February we will know, too, which of the ten nominated will win the Best animated feature award in the Annie Awards held in Los Angeles (USA). “Wrinkles” shares candidature in the last competition with the films “Chico and Rita”, “Kung Fu Panda 2” and “Tintin”, among others.

“Wrinkles”, which the critics were moved by during its presentation in the San Sebastián Festival, will be opened in the Spanish cinemas on 27th January.

Based on Paco Roca´s comic of the same title (2008 National Comic Prize), “WRINKLES” is a 2D animated feature-length film for an adult audience. “Wrinkles” premiere at San Sebastian Film Festival is going to take place next Monday, September 19th, 4:30 P.M at Kursaal 2 venue in San Sebastian city. “Wrinkles” –a film directed by Ignacio Ferreras- portrays the friendship between Emilio and Miguel, two aged gentlemen shut away in a care home. Recent arrival Emilio, in the early stages of Alzheimer, is helped by Miguel and colleagues to avoid ending up on the feared top floor of the care home, also known as the lost causes or “assisted” floor. Their wild plan infuses their otherwise tedious day-to-day with humor and tenderness, because although for some their lives is coming to an end, for them it is just beginning.

THE COMIC BOOK
Wrinkles is based on Paco Roca´s name-sake graphic novel, published by Editions Delcourt. In 2008 the Department for Culture prized it with the National Comic Award and Italy´s presitgious Lucca Festival bestowed it the Gran Guinigi Award for best long story.   Wrinkles has also won the top prizes for Best Material and Best Script by the Salón Internacional del Cómic in Barcelona 2008 and the Award for Best Spanish Comic Strip by the Diario de Avisos of Tenerife 2008. Winning over the critics and readership alike, with more than 35.000 copies sold since Astiberri published it in Spain, where it is considered to be one of the most important comics of the decade .France´s Comic Critics Association short-listed Wrinkles in the top twenty comic albums of 2007. It has also been published in Italy, Holland, Finland and Japan, and soon to be in Germany.

"BICYCLE, SPOON, APPLE" wins the Goya award for the best documentary movie

Pasqual Maragall, Diana Garrigosa & Oriol Ivern received, amongst clamorous applauses, the Goya award for the best documentary movie at the 25th edition of the Academia de Cine Español Awards.

Oriol Ivern, founder and president of Cromosoma, stood out the great jobmade by Carles Bosch, Diana Garrigosa's role as "best actress" and thanked the loyalty of the co-producers: Televisió de Catalunya, Televisión Española and la Xarxa de Televisions Locals. He took the opportunity to encourage everyone that has not seen the movie yet, to go to the theatre.

Diana Garrigosa stood out their friendship relation with director Carles Bosch and appreciated the support of the Academia. She showed herself convinced that this prize is going to help the Pasqual Maragall Foundation for Alzheimer's disease –founded three years ago- move forward into the research to find a cure against such devastating illness.

Pasqual Maragall, accompanied by his inseparable –and already famous- cell phone, made the public at the Teatro Real thrill with his words: "without Diana, there is no Pasqual, without Oriol Ivern and his wife, this movie would not have been made and without Dr. Teresa Gómez-Isla, I would not be in such stable shape".

"Bicycle, spoon, Apple" competed together with three amazing documentaries "María y Yo" directed by Félix Fernández de Castro, "How much does your building weight, Mr. Foster?" by Carlos Carcas and Norberto López Amado, and "Ciudadano Negrin" by Carlos Álvarez.

The ceremony took place on Sunday the 13th of february at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

Oriol Ivern, producer, Pasqual Maragall and Diana Garrigosa main characters of Carles Bosch’s last film, received the Gaudí Prize for best documentary film of the year amongst the warm applauses of the audience. Simultaneously, Tono Folguera and Toni Marin, executive producers of Cromosoma, where in Madrid recieving the "José María Forqué" award.

“CARACREMADA” AWARDED IN THE CATEGORIES OF BEST FEATURE FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY AND CRITICS AT THE EQUADOR AND VALÈNCIA FILM FESTIVALS

"CARACREMADA" Best Fiction Film, Critics' Prize for Best Film and Best Cinematography Award at film festivals in Ecuador, and Valencia. "Caracremada," the film directed by Lluís Galter, and co-produced by Mallerich Films-Paco Poch, Cromosoma, and the Passos Llargs Association gets the Critics Award for Best Film and Best Cinematography Award at the International Festival Film Cuenca (Ecuador), and the Award for Best Fiction Feature Film Festival in Valencia Inquiet 2010. "Caracremada" which was also present at festivals in Venice, San Sebastian and Fecinema, among others, getting a very warm public welcome, has its premiere tomorrow, Tuesday 30 November in the city of Figueres, and the premiere in cinemas the 10th of December at the Verdi cinema in Barcelona.

Lluís Soler, who gives life to the guerrilla Ramon Vila Capdevila "Caracremada” Aina Calpe, Andreu Carandell, Domingo Garcia and Carlos Bautista headed the cast of this film that seeks to reflect on the libertarian resistance to the Franco regime through what was his last active rebel. When the CNT announced the withdrawal of his men in 1951, Ramon Vila remained in the forests of the interior of Catalonia alone to restart the fight on his own.
