Perro Verde Films and Cromosoma, together with Televisión Española, Radiotelevisió Valenciana, and with the support of the ICAA (Spanish Film Institute) and the Galician government, have begun production of the animated feature film Arrugas. The film is based on the homonymous graphic novel by Valencian comic writer Paco Roca that won the 2008 National Comic Prize in Spain. Arrugas, scripted by Paco Roca and Ángel de la Cruz, and directed by Ignacio Farreras, is about the stories and feelings of two elderly men, Emilio (with voice by José Sacristan) and Miguel (voice to be confirmed), who strike up a friendship in the nursing home where they both live. Emilio is suffering the first stages of Alzheimer’s disease and Miguel does what he can to help his friend out and try to halt the progress of the disease, adding a brightening touch of comedy and, sometimes, adventure to day-to-day life in the home.
The new documentary film directed by Carles Bosch is a CROMOSOMA and CESKA TELEVIZE (Czech Republic) co-production.
The preview of the last documentary film directed by the journalist and director Carles Bosch, who has also created documentary films such as “BALSEROS” and “SETEMBRES” was launched on October 22th. The premiere was included in the debate that the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona has planned from October 19th to November 12th, called “1989, EUROPE, TWENTY YEARS AFTER THE FALL OF THE WALL”. The documentary includes the different statements and opinions from ten people that were crucial twenty years ago in the transition to democracy of the Central European country called Czecoslovakia in those days. All of them were trusted men and women of the Velvet Revolution leader, Vaclav Havel, who was appointed President of that country during his new democratic turn. The director Carles Bosch was an exceptional witness to that event. In those years he was a journalist for the TV program “30 minuts” on TV3. Twenty years later, he wanted to meet these people again: actresses, playwrights, students, interpreters… who made up the new core of a country that nowadays, twenty years later, is wondering whether the revolution of 1989 was worth it or not.
The documentary includes a recent exclusive interview to Vaclav Havel in Prague for this unique audiovisual work produced by CROMOSOMA, in collaboration with Institut Català de les Indústries Culturals, SAGRERA and DIGITAL 360. “REVOLUTION TAKE 2” also was opened at Alexandra cinemas, in Barcelona, on October 23th.
